Just after announcing its entry into the San Antonio market this summer, First America Homes has acquired homesites in a new acreage community, Jordan’s Ranch.
First America Homes — part of The Signorelli Company and one of Texas’ largest private homebuilders, will have homesites within Jordan’s Ranch, located just off South Loop 1604 west of Highway 281 approximately 25 minutes from downtown San Antonio. Jordan’s Ranch will be the first new home acreage community in that area of San Antonio, with homesites ranging from a half-acre to over a full acre. Home sales should begin in early 2023.
Division President Chris Hill says First America Homes will build homes from their Heritage Collection in Jordan’s Ranch.
“Our vision is to construct well-built, affordable homes that put the dream of home ownership in reach of more people,” Hill said. “Because most acreage communities feature custom homes, these types of properties are usually pretty pricey. With our unique ability to keep prices low through a variety of operational efficiencies, our homes in Jordan’s Ranch should be more attainable for the average buyer.”
Hill said floor plans will start at 1,800 square feet. Pricing has not been determined, but Hill expects the homes to be attractively priced, particularly given the area’s low tax rate. First America Homes also bundles together lending, insurance, title work, construction walks and more under one umbrella to help contain costs.
First America Homes is breaking ground this month in Hickory Ridge, its first San Antonio-area community. Home sales are expected to begin there in the fourth quarter.
Dave Barnhart, President of First America Homes, says expansion into San Antonio was a natural move for the company given their successful track record in Houston.
“San Antonio has not been immune to rising home prices,” he said. “We want to bring the proven formula that has worked in Houston to the San Antonio area.”
First America Homes has helped thousands of families find homes since the company’s 2010 inception. The builder currently has more than 24 active communities in the greater Houston area.
